Wilma Jean Wright

Wilma Jean Wright, 87, of Burnettsville, died at 4:45pm on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at IU Arnett Health Hospital in Lafayette. She was born October 25, 1924 in Cass county to the late Frank and Tillie (McLeland)Fisher. Her marriage was to Charles E. Wright on June 26, 1943 in Burnettsville. He preceded her in death April 30, 2004. She was a former member of Eastlawn United Methodist Church in Idaville. She was a 1942 graduate of Burnettsville High School and was a Burnettsville cheerleader during her junior and senior years of high school. She was county cheerleading champion two years in a row. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed watching Purdue basketball, quilting, sewing and gardening. She is survived by a daughter, Carol J. (Don) Potts, Jr. of Delphi; two sons, Thomas R. (Joyce) Wright of Louisville, KY, Stephen E. (Kay) Wright of Zionsville; two sisters, Martha Duffey of Burnettsville, Sharon (Dan) Lowring of Indianapolis; 8 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren She is preceded in death by a great grandson; and a brother, Frank Fisher, Jr. Visitation will be from 1pm until 3pm, Wednesday, March 7 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3pm at the funeral home with Rev. Ernie Elder officating. Burial will be in Seceeder Cemetery, Burnettsville.
