William Alan Cowger affectionately known as "Bill", "BC", or "Bo" , 77, of Monticello, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024 at I U Health White Memorial Hospital in Monticello.
He was born on April 3, 1947 in Lafayette to the late Joseph D. and Josephine (Brown) Cowger. On May 5, 1987 he married Lana Paxson in his "Valley" in Monticello. She survives.
Bo worked as a physical lab tech for Louisville Cement in Logansport, now Heidelberg Materials retiring in 2010. Bo was a good man with a sweet soul. He enjoyed working his property, "The Valley", campfires and mushroom hunting. His favorite time of the year was spring. He cherished time with his friends and family.
In addition to his wife Lana Paxson, of Monticello, he is survived by his children, Alyssa Cowger of Monticello, Greg Cowger of Phoenix, AZ, and Amy Cowger-Callahan of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Judy Luse and Jane Paluchniak both of Monticello; grandchildren, Taylor, Emily, Hailey, and Hannah; and a great granddaughter, Brielle.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Michael and Robert Cowger.
Private family services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Salvation Army or a charity of the donor's choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
