W. B. Bill Kilmer, 87, Monticello died at 12 am, Monday, May 24, 2010 at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center. He was born September 3, 1922 at Monticello to the late Wilbur R. and Meredith (Barnes) Kilmer. His marriage was to Marjorie "Dee" Braugh on February 23, 1947 at the Monticello United Methodist Church, and she survives. Bill was a lifetime member of Oak Grove Christian Church. He was a 1940 graduate of Monticello High School, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a farmer and enjoyed raising sheep. He drove a school bus for several years, and also worked at John Deere. He was a member of the American Legion of Chalmers. He was a member of Libanus Lodge No. 154 F&AM and had received his 50 year pin. He was very active in the White County 4-H program for many years. He is also survived by sons, Mike Kilmer of Monticello; Larry (Linda) Kilmer of Chalmers; brother, Parker (Marilyn) Kilmer of Monticello; grandson, Jason (Patty) Kilmer of Brookston; granddaughter, Jennifer (Brett) Foster of Otterbein; and eight great-grandchildren, Emily Kilmer, Abigail Kilmer, Tyler Kilmer, Justin Kilmer, Grace Kilmer, Annalise Kilmer, Ryan Foster, and Adam Foster. Funeral services and burial will be private. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to Oak Grove Christian Church or to White County 4-H with checks made payable to White County Ag Association. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
