Veronika Hinojosa, 58 of Delphi died at 1:33 am, Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born in Pfungstadt, Germany on December 7, 1954 to the late Wilhelm and Kathrina (Jochum) Schmitt. Veronika married Roland Hinojosa on January 10, 1978 in Pfungstadt, Germany and he survives. She graduated high school in Germany and also attended college in Germany. She was a member of the Monticello Christian Church where she was involved in community service projects with the church and also helped serve food in the kitchen. Veronika enjoyed oil painting, landscaping, gardening, cooking and crocheting. She loved yard sales. She is also survived by 2 daughters, Daniela (Aaron) Green of Delphi, Melissa (Jeff) Embrey of Monticello; 1 son, Rolaand (Tonya) Hinojosa of Camden; 3 brothers, Ulrich, Sigfried, Michael Schmitt of Hessen, Germany; 1 sister, Christel Muerdter of Hessen Germany; 8 grandchildren, Caine, Katlyn, Sophia, Alexis, Maci, Cassie, Jasmine, and Isabell. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Dieter, Friedrich, Wilhelm, and Gottfried Schmitt. Visitation will be from 6pm until the time of memorial services at 7pm, Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Monticello Christian Church with Rev. Chris Dodson officiating.
