Thomas L. Miller

Thomas L. Miller, 82, of West Lafayette, died at 9:10 am, Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the Indiana Veterans Home. He was born on March 16, 1932 in Logansport to the late Paul R. and Mary (Lenon) Miller. He was a graduate of Logansport High School and then served in the Marines. He worked at Wilsons in Logansport until it closed and then went to work as a park attendant for the city of Logansport until his retirement. Mr. Miller was a member of the American Legion in Logansport and the AMVETS in Monticello. He is survived by a daughter, Pamela (David) Haskell of Brookston; son, John (Lisa) Miller of West Lafayette; two sisters, Jalene (Larry) Lewis of Logansport, Susane Parker of Logansport; four grandchildren, Travis Miller, J.T. Miller, Missy Funk, and Ryan Horn; and six great-grandchildren, Caiden Baker, Lilli Baker, Memphis Funk, Rhiley Funk, Kayli Helton, and Andrew Helton. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Judy Roe; brothers, Don and Charlie Miller; a granddaughter, Jessica Horn; and one great-granddaughter, Kaliah Baker. Graveside memorial services with full military rites will be at 1 pm, Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Indiana Veteran's Home Cemetery, West Lafayette.
