Thelma J. Fross

Thelma J. Fross, 85, of Monticello died at 5:50 pm, Monday, September 21, 2009 at Whispering Pines. She was born September 4, 1924 at Benton County to the late Aud and Nettie (Goodman) Lawson. Her marriage was to Lester Fross July 7, 1941 in White County. Thelma was a member of Sitka Baptist Church. She was employed at the A&P Grocery Store for 30 years, retiring in 1983. She enjoyed flower gardening. Survivors include 2 daughters, Connie Cascales of Monticello, Judy Cox of Arden, N.C.; sister, Bea Capper of Monticello; brother, Harold (Barb) Lawson of Lafayette; grandchildren, Tami Bebber, T.D. Cox, and Nicole Cascales; and 7 great-Grandchildren, Seven She is preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Lawson. Visitation will be from Noon to 2 pm, Saturday, September 26 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2pm Saturday at the funeral home, with Dr. James Elliott of the Sitka Baptist Church officiating. Burial Place will be at Hughes Cemetery.
