Tara Caprice Sprinkle, 43, of Indianapolis, passed away at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born on August 22, 1975 in Lafayette to Jan Thomas and Jessica (Sheets) Rule of Monticello.
After graduating high school in Smithville, MO, she went on to earn a Bachelor Degree of Science from Purdue University. She dedicated many years working as a case worker advocating and protecting children and families in White County.
Growing up in the Midwest she was known for her dominance in track and field events, in particular the hurdles, for which she still holds the records to this day.
Her participation in 4-H resulted in winning championships on both the county and state levels.
She was committed to her faith in Jesus Christ and faithfully served by working with the youth group, working as a Bible school and Sunday school teacher, and her involvement in the Emmaus Community.
Tara found enjoyment in coaching youth in a variety of sports while raising her daughter. She found peace traveling through the mountains and deserts.
Her vibrant, adventurous, and caring soul will be forever missed in the hearts of her family and friends.
In addition to her parents Jan and Jessica of Monticello, she is survived by her children, Isabelle Star Sprinkle of Monticello, and 5 month old Jackson Thomas Butler (father, Steven Butler); sister, Erin (LaMar) Miller of Chicago; nephews, Axel and Tyson Miller; and many cousins and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Margaret and Dale Sheets, and Glen and Joyce Rule; and an infant brother.
Visitation will be from 9am until 11 am, on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Monticello United Methodist Church.
Funeral services celebrating Tara's life will follow at 11 am, at the church with Rev. Brian Beeks officiating.
Memorial donations may be offered to Monticello United Methodist Church or the Memorial Fund for Tara Sprinkle to P.O.Box 87, Monticello, IN 47960. Envelopes will be available at the church.
