Steven Ken Tedlock

Steven K. Tedlock, 67, of Monticello, formally of Kokomo, passed away at 5:54 pm, Thursday, January 8, 2015 at IU Health White Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 9, 1947 in Kokomo to the late John and Laura "Lucy" (DeWitt) Tedlock. On June 27, 1969, he married Ann Powell, now Graf in Kokomo and later they divorced. He is survived by his significant other Sue Wright of Monticello. Steven graduated from Kokomo High School in 1966 and then received an Associate's degree from Ivy Tech in Marketing. He joined the U.S. Army and served in both Viet Nam and Korea. He retired from Delco Electronics in Kokomo and then worked for Tedlock Construction and then J and M Construction. He was a member of Monticello Market Watchers and UAW 292 in Kokomo. Steven loved water color painting, computer technology, SKYPE, and he especially cherished time spent with family. He is also survived by his son, Matthew R. Tedlock of Barstow, CA; and sister, Cathy (Max) Hensley of Walton. He was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Sally Tedlock. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello with Rev. Chris Dodson of the Monticello Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Kokomo. Memorial contributions may be given to the White County Food Pantry or a food pantry of the donor's choice with envelopes available at the funeral home.
