Sondra Sue Rumple

Sondra S. Rumple, 80, of Fort Mill, SC, formerly of Louisville, KY and Monticello passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Atrium Health Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.
She was born on July 15, 1941 in Monticello to the late Carson L. and Vena (Pherson) Custer. On (date, City and State) she married Ira E. Rumple and he survives.
Sondra dedicated her career to the legal system in White County. She began as a legal secretary at the Law office of Siferd Roth, and Guy; eventually supporting Attorney Siferd in tax and estate work for 30 years. Following that she worked as a Court Reporter for Judge Robert Thacker in White County Circuit Court for 25 years. She was a member of the Monon Tri Kappa Sorority. She had been very involved in the United Methodist Church especially with Soup for the Soul and drive-in ministry. She was also very involved in children's church along with children's ministries at Sitka Baptist Church. Sondra was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Louisville prior to moving to South Carolina. She liked to piddle and enjoyed shopping. Above all, she cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Her family expected her delayed good-byes as she couldn't say I love you enough.
She is survived by her husband, Ira of Fort Mills, SC; children, Traci (Michael) Fuller of Charlotte, NC and Troy Rumple of Seymour, IN; grandchildren, Alexandra (Evan) Mitchell, Taylor Anne (Frank) Vandervort, Maddison Hope Fuller, Zachary (Josephine) Rumple, Joshua (Ashley) Rumple; five great-grandchildren, Oliver, Tucker, Elliana, Caden, Theodore; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by siblings, Robert Custer, Cecil "Gene" Custer, Shirley "Cookie" Dallas, infant brother, Ronald Custer.
Graveside funeral services celebrating Sondra's life will be Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 10 (EDT) at Hughes Cemetery with Pastor Dan Bottrell officiating.
