Shirley A. Jennings

Shirley A. Jennings, 71, of Monticello died at 3:30 pm, Wednesday, July 28, 2010,at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center. She was born July 13, 1939 at Lafayette to the late Walter and Ethel (Shultz) Jennings. Shirley was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Saviour where she was very active with the brail workers of the church. She also served as church treasurer for many years. She was a member of the PSIOTA XI Sorority. She retired from FSA after 44 years of employment. Survivors include sisters, Zelda Jennings of Monticello, Ruth (Dale) Dahlenburg of Reynolds; brothers, Fred Jennings of Monticello, Don (Nancy) Jennings of Monticello, Ralph (Linda) Jennings of Monticello; nephews, Steve Jennings, Mark Jennings, Kirt Dahlenburg, Keven Jennings; nieces, Trina Ersoy, Susie Kindig, Debbie Morris, and Julie Denton. She is also preceded in death by a nephew, Phil Jennings. Visitation will be from 4 pm until 8 pm, Friday, July 30, at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home and also one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. A PSIOTA XI Sorority service will be conducted at 7:30 pm, Friday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10 am, Saturday at the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, with Pastor John Gore Officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Reynolds Memorials may be given to Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, or to a charity of the donor's choice. Envelopes will be available.
