Sharon "Shari" Brigance, 70, of Monticello passed away at 9:30 pm, Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on November 19, 1943 in Logansport to the late Thelbert Vern and Lucille (White) Holcomb. On August 3, 1963, she married Charles Tommy Brigance in Logansport, and he preceded her in death August 10, 2003. She was a graduate of Burnettsville High School. Shari worked at RCA and then for Twin Lakes Laundry. Until her retirement, she worked in housekeeping for the White County Sherriff's Department. She attended the Monticello Christian Church. She loved playing euchre, BINGO, bowling, and word search books. She was an avid Cubs fan and never missed a game without a very good reason. She was an avid NASCAR fan and also a fan of football along with any other sport she could watch. She is survived by two daughters, Lalena M. Brigance, and Carmen S. Brigance both of Indianapolis; two step-sons, Charles Tommy (Carolyn) Brigance Jr. of Carrollton, Texas, Raymond Jimmy "Jake" Brigance of Logansport; three sisters, Nancy (Donald) Stearns of Monticello, Eva Baker of Logansport, Caryl (Bob) Sherman of Logansport; brother-in-law, Don Robertson of Georgetown; four grandchildren, David, Jamie, Tristina, and Sharon; great-granchildren, Carter, Xavier, Jacob, Emma, Kaprycia, and one on the way. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Patricia Rollins and Betty Jo Robertson; and a brother-in-law, Glen Rollins. Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm, Friday, September 5, 2014 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. Funeral services will be at 2 pm, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hughes Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Riley Children's Hospital where Shari spent the first year of her life. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
