Scott A. Middleton, 57, of Monticello, passed away at 3:45 pm, Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Monticello Healthcare Center. He was born on March 9, 1958 in Monticello to the late William J Middleton and Mary Jean (Slagle) Middleton who survives. After William J. passed, Mary married Wilmer McClintic who also preceded in death. Scott was a 1976 graduate of Twin Lakes High School where he enjoyed playing drums in the band, playing on the high school tennis team, and playing baseball. He received his Bachelor's degree in communications from Purdue University. While at Purdue, he enjoyed singing in the glee club. He was a member of the Monticello Christian Church. He was a lover of music and an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds in a Chicago Cubs family. In addition to his mother, Mary McClintic he is also survived by daughters, Amanda and Jessica Middleton both of Portland, OR; sister, Lisa A. Middleton of Fort Wayne; and two brothers, William E. (Deb) Middleton of Fort Wayne, and Michael J. (Juli) Middleton of Roanoke. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of services at 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello with Rev. Chris Dodson of the Monticello Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Monticello Christian Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
