Scott Ferdinand, 36, of Wolcott, died on Monday, February 8, 2010 at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He was born on March 27, 1973 Lafayette to Lee Wayne and Mary Helen (Hughes) Ferdinand. They survive in Reynolds. He married Jennifer Suzanne (Koppelmann) Ferdinand on January 10, 1993 in Reynolds. She survives in Wolcott. He graduated from Tri-County High School in 1991. He also attended Purdue University for 1 1/2 years. Mr. Ferdinand worked for Henry Poor Lumber in Lafayette, Indiana. He also had a residental design business called DSF Home Design. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds. Scott was a ten year 4-H member. Mr. Ferdinand was on the Wolcott Library Board. He helped build a home with Habitat for Humanity with his design business. He was very involved with his children and never missed an event or activity. Scott had also coached his son Connor's soccer team. He is also survivied by , 2 Sons, Connor Wayne Ferdinand of Wolcott, Kevin Scott Ferdinand of Wolcott; Father in-law and Mother in-law, Ken (Melissa) Koppelmann of Frankfort; Maternal Grandparents, Curtis (Rachel) Hughes of Reynolds; Paternal Grandfather, John U. Ferdinand of Monticello; Grandmother-in-law, Lucella "Mam Mam" Young of Frankfort. Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm, Friday, February 12, 2010 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Funeral Services will take place at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Saturday, February 13, 2010, at 11:00 am. with Pastor Charles Blakey officiating. Memorials may be made to the David Scott Ferdinand Benefit Account at the Bank of Wolcott. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
