Rosemary L. Meyer, 83, of Monticello, died at 12:21pm, Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center. She was born April 5, 1927 at Buffalo to the late Raymond C. and Jeanette (Rickard) Farmer. Her marriage was to Virgil Meyer on September 24, 1944 at the St. James Lutheran Church, Reynolds. He preceded her in death January 11, 1991. Mrs. Meyer was a member of Zion Bethel Church. She belonged to the Honeycreek Home Ec Club. She served as Reynolds School PTO secretary. She enjoyed sewing, doll collecting, and scrap-booking. She also enjoyed bird watching. Above all, she charished being a mother and grandmother. She is survived by two sons, Jeff (Karen) Meyer of Ann Arbor, MI; Chuck Meyer of Atlanta, GA; three daughters, Karen Cowger (Companion David Ward) of Monticello, Linda (John) Carter of Monticello, Denise Brown-Vincz (and Husband Mike Vincz); three sisters, Dorothy (Herman) Schroder of Monticello, Ada (John) Schenradt of N. Fort Myers, FL, Suzy (Eddie) Strasser of Logansport; seventeen grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; fifteen Great grandchildren, and seven step great-grandchildren. Also preceding her in death is a son, Robert "Bob" Meyer; three brothers; a granddaughter; and a step great-granddaughter. Visitation will be from 11 am until 1 pm, Saturday, at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1pm Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Nate Pyle of Lake Shafer Christian Center officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
