Rosemary Butt

Rosemary Butt, 89, of Monticello, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at her residence.

She was born on December 23, 1935 in Fulton County to the late Orval and Bernice (Thommen) Stookey. She married Bernard "Bernie" Butt and preceded her in death on October 22, 2017.

She grew up in Peru and was a graduate of Peru High School. She later worked as a secretary in Valparaiso High School until her retirement. 

Rosemary enjoyed playing bridge, gardening and entertaining. She especially cherished time with her family.

She is survived by three daughters, Paris (Dan) Pepoon of Northbrook, IL, Apryl Plageman of Monticello, Autumn (Mark) McGregor of Pine Village; grandchildren, Laney, Brian and Natalie Pepoon, Zachary Ireland, Alex, Hayley and Julian Plageman, Ian and Erin McGregor; great grandson, Silas Ireland.
