Rose Marie 'Rosie' Alpha

Rose Marie "Rosie" Alpha, 78, of Lafayette died at 9:40 pm, Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Rosewalk Village in Lafayette. She was born on April 19, 1932 at Rensselaer to the late Frank and Ruth (Porter) Bell. She graduated high school in Rensselaer and retired from Bryans Manufacturing after 27 years of employment. She was a member of The Lockport Church. She enjoyed knitting and gardening. She is survived by a daughter, Sherry Burchett of Crawfordsville; son, John R. Alpha, II of Crawfordsville; sister, Mary Hart of Carmel; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Frank Bell; two sisters, Colleen Ward, and Francis Bell. Visitation will be from 11 am until 1 pm, Monday, April 11 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. Graveside funeral services will follow at 1:30 pm, at Riverview I.O.O.F.
