Ronald A. 'Ron' Maddock

Ronald A. "Ron" Maddock, 75, of Monticello, passed away at 5:37 am, Friday, January 1, 2016 at Franciscan St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette.
He was born on August 10, 1940 at the family home in Idaville to the late Kenneth and Wahneeta (Munson) Maddock. On November 14, 1964 he married Sandra "Sandy" Johnson in Kokomo and she preceded him in death June 12, 2000.
Ron was a graduate of Kokomo High School and worked as an independent over the road truck driver from which he retired.
He was a member of Royal Center Lodge #565 F&AM.
He loved to tell stories. He enjoyed watching squirrels and feeding the birds. He also enjoyed watching his television programs.
Surviving are his children, Nora W. (husband, Larry) Williams of Indianapolis, Matt (wife, Kay) Maddock of Monticello, Nick (Sara) Maddock of Norman, OK; siblings Kenneth "Gene" (wife, Geneva) Maddock of Kokomo, Gerald L. (wife, Connie) Maddock of Monticello, Michael (wife, Judy) Maddock of Burnettsville, Phyllis (husband, Bill) Hindsley of Monticello; five grandchildren; aunts, Helen Collings of Indianapolis and Vivian Alma of Burnettsville; twelve nieces and nephews; and sixteen great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, January 4, 2016 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.
Funeral services celebrating Ron's life will be at 10:30 am Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Scott of the Burnettsville First Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to White County Council on Aging with envelopes available at the funeral home.
