Roger A. Ennis

Roger Alan Ennis, 61, of Lebanon died at 3:45pm, Sunday, July 23, 2012 at his residence. He was April 12, 1951 in Lebanon to the late E. L. Ennis, Jr and the former Mary E. Caldwell Withrow, and she survives in Monticello, Indiana. On August 15, 1971, he married the former Viola Matthews. They later divorced. He attended schools in Lebanon and served in the United States Navy for 3 years. He had been a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Lebanon since he was a child. He worked as a parts manager in a marine repair shop in Louisiana. After he moved back to Lebanon, he worked as a utility clerk at Kroger. He was an excellent swimmer and his family nicknamed him Water Dog . He loved water skiing and all types of water sports. He is also survived by a son, Richard Alan (Michelle) Ennis of Winter Park, FL; daughter, Nicole Rene Ennis of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Matthew Alan Ennis of FL, Timothy Arnold Ennis, Jacob Alan Ennis, Brooke Rose Ennis, Jenna Rose Ennis; brother, Michael (Linda) Withrow of SC; 2 sisters, Cynthia (Al) Thurman of CA, and Alicia Fletcher of Delphi. Visitation will be Friday, July 27th from 1pm until the time of services at 3pm, at the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Lebanon with Rev. Jared Kendall officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Memorial contributions may be given to Otterbein United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the church.
