Roberttie 'Bobbie' Eastwood

Roberttie "Bobbie" Eastwood, 90, of Anderson, passed away at 12:20 pm, Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Providence Nursing Home in Anderson.She was born on February 12, 1927 in Alexandria to the late Robert William and Ywanite (Simpson) Hartman. She attended Alexandria High School and worked the majority of her career as a cook and restaurant manager. She also enjoyed a stint working as a housekeeper. One of her most gratifying positions was when she worked as a housemother in a children's home in Lebanon. She was a devout Christian woman who was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church in Anderson. There was never a child or an animal that didn't love her. She loved cooking, crocheting, oil painting and traveling. If the wheels on the car were rolling, she was in the car as a passenger or as a driver. She cherished her family and her greatest desire for all them was to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Joy Springer of Anderson; brother, Gordon Bill (wife, Zeng Y.) Hartman of Anderson; daughter-in-law, Hilde (husband, Dave) Sims of Anderson; grandchildren, Randy (wife, Kathryn) Springer of Monticello, Jerry Goodrich of Anderson, Patty (husband, Rob) Vandergrif of Anderson, Eric Springer of Indianapolis, Deric Springer of Anderson, Trisha (husband, John) Bair of Chesterfield, and Heather (husband, Wiley) Weaver of Anderson; ten great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.She was also preceded in death by her son, Max Springer.Visitation will be on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from noon until the time of services at 1:00 pm celebrating Bobbie's life at Grace Baptist Church in Anderson located at 432 North 300 West, Anderson.Private burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to Grace Baptist Church in Anderson with envelopes available at the church.Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello is entrusted with care.Messages of condolence may extended at www.springerfuneralhome.com
