Robert Wiseley

Robert Edwin Wiseley, of Monon, died Saturday, April 18, 2015, after an extended illness, he was 55. He was born to Alfred W Wiseley and the late Helen Neff Wiseley, on June 2, 1959, in Logansport, IN. Robert graduated from Pioneer High School. He was previously married to Betty Pearson Ford and she survives him. Robert worked at Monon Trailer 20 years, at Cives Steel for 6 years and Monon Liquor for 2 years. Robert was a good man and will be missed by many. Whether Robert was fishing, hunting, camping or mushroom hunting, he loved being outdoors. Robert enjoyed quiet time to himself. He liked to read books about the old West, and always enjoyed learning new things. Robert is survived by 2 sons, Brian Wiseley of Monon, Robert "Tony" Wiseley, of Bushnell FL; 2 sisters, Jane (Husband Steve) Pease of Nashville, TN, Peggy (Husband Joe) Pease of Antioch, CA; 2 brothers, James (Wife Karen) Wiseley of Monticello, William "Bill" Wiseley (and his friend Diana Jilg) of West Point; several nieces and nephews; Joan Huff who was a special friend; And, we can't forget to mention his dog Bear. Robert is preceded in death by his mother. Robert has requested that private family services be held at a later date. Memorial contributions for Robert may be made to the Almost Home Humane Society in Lafayette, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
