Robert R. Sieckman, 83, of Reynolds, died at 5:18 pm, Thursday, September 16, 2010, Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center. He was born March 26, 1927 in Gary to the late Raymond and Dorothy (Seymour) Sieckman. He married the former Carol Sue Miller on December 10, 1976 at the Monticello Christian Church. Mr. Sieckman was a veteran of United States Army stationed in Korea during WWII awaiting the invasion of Japan. He worked as a press operator at Rostone in Lafayette from which he retired after 38 years of employment. He was a charter member of the Monticello Moose. He was a member of the American Legion and Am Vets both of Monticello. He had been a member of Libanus Lodge #154 F&AM, and also the White County Shrine Club. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and hunting with his friends and family. He was an avid Cubs and Colts fan. He was also a loyal I.U. fan. Other survivors include a son, Gary (Marcia) Sieckman of Rancine, Wisconsin; daughter, Paulette Pryor of Phoenix, Arizona; step-son, John (Lisa) Miller of Lafayette; step-daughter, Pamela Miller of Reynolds; friend, first wife, and mother of his children, Mildred M. Sieckman of Reynolds; grandchildren, Kelly (Mike) Ayers, Keven (Maggie) Sieckman; step-grandchildren, Ryan (Jennifer) Horn, Melissa (Mitch) Baker, Travis and Jon Miller; three great-grandchildren; and nine step great-grandchildren He is preceded in death by a sister, Betty Krintz; and a step-granddaughter, Jessica Horn. Visitation will be from 4 pm until 8 pm, Tuesday, September 21, at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. A Moose services will be conducted at 7:30 pm. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am ,Wednesday, at the funeral home with Rev. Andrea Bremmer of the Reynolds United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery with full military rites. Memorials may be given to Reynolds United Methodist Church or the Michael J. Fox Parkinsons Foundation.
