Robert L. Drahman

Robert L. Drahman, 80, of Monticello, Indiana died at 4:00 am, Friday, November 5, 2010 at his residence. He was born March 14, 1930 at Ludlow, Kentucky to the late Harry and Marie (Voltz) Drahman. On May 24, 1969, he married Betty J. Stanton at St. Pious Catholic Church in Edgedwood, Kentucky, and she survives. Mr. Drahman attended Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as a fleet service clerk for American Airlines, from which he retired. He enjoyed golf, boating, and was an avid sports enthusiast, especially of the Colts and Cincinnati Reds. Most of all, he cherished his family. Other survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Drahman Bland of Monticello; sister, Susan Mathias of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky; grandchildren, Alexis Paige, Annalise Nicole, and Austin Kent Bland all of Monticello; and five nieces and nephews. Also preceding him in death, is a sister Mary Catherine Rauch. Visitation will be from 1 pm until 3 pm, Tuesday, November 9, at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 3 pm, Tuesday, at the funeral home with Father Gerald Borawski officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery, rural Monticello.
