Robert Hoover

Robert D. Hoover, 85, of Monticello, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello.Bob was born into the Hoover family on June 16, 1939 in Star City. He married Helen Boze in the fall of 1961 at the Monon United Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on April 25, 2024..

He graduated from Star City High School and served in the National Guard. He went on to work at NIPSCO as a service locator from which he retired after more than thirty-three years of service.Bob and Helen lived in the country and loved all kinds of birds and animals.

He is survived by his brother-in-law, Myron Boze of Monon, and sister-on-law, Maxine Boehing of Francesville.

Graveside services celebrating Bob's life will be at 11 am (EDT) Thursday, August 1, 2024 in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Pastor Russ Alley officiating.
