Richard Scott Johnson, 46, of Monon died at 5:20 pm, Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at his residence. He was born November 1, 1965 in Rensselaer to the late Carl Johnson, Sr. and Anna Mae (Martin) Johnson He had worked for the Local Labor Union 41 out of Munster. He enjoyed fishing and wood working. He also enjoyed collecting toy tractors and farm equipment. Above all, he cherished his daughter and grandchildren. He is survived by longtime companion, Karen Hesson of Rensselaer; daughter, Ashley (Michael) Spencer of Frankfort; 3 brothers, Paul (Paula) Johnson of Monon, Tom Martin, of Georgia, Dean Johnson of Bunker Hill; and 2 grandchildren, Kylie and Kolton. He was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Mary Beth Johnson. Visitation will be from 11am until the time of services at 1pm, Tuesday, July 24 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home.
