Richard "Dick" Lontz, 66, of Lockport, IL, passed away at 6:05 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2008 at his residence. He was born July 24, 1941 in Kokomo, Indiana to the late Floyd Lontz, and Naomi (Holsinger) Lontz. She survives in Lancaster PA. His marriage was to Linda Stover on November 11, 1961 in Idaville. She survives. Mr. Lontz was a 1958 graduate of Idaville High School, and was valedictorian of his class. He attended Indiana University, and also DePauw Univesity in Chicago. He worked at DeSoto LLC. where he retired after 20 plus years. He was a nature lover and enjoyed camping. He also enjoyed wood working, and reading. He was a self-taught computer expert. His family especially his grandchildren were most important to him. Other survivors include: 2 Daughters, Lisa (Ted) Martin of Watseka, IL, Lora (Jim) Vejvoda of Crest Hill, IL; Brother, Tom (Ann) Lontz of Lancaster, PA; 2 Grandsons, Richard Martin of Lockport, IL, Corporal Theodore P. Martin of Camp LeJeune, N.C.; 2 Granddaughters, Courtney Martin of Watseka, IL, and Alyssa Vejvoda of Crest Hill, IL. He was preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon - 2 p.m (EDT)., Sunday, March 30 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. (EDT) on Sunday at the funeral home.
