Richard Dick Bertram, 77, of Monticello died Friday, October 7, 2011 at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette. He was born April 6, 1934 in Monon to the late Ralph and Lorene (Meyers) Bertram His marriage to the former Judy Williams was on May 18, 1990 at the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello and she survives. He was a graduate of Monticello High School and attended the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello. He had been part owner of Bakes Pontiac, Buick & GMC Dealership formerly in Monticello . He was a retired salesman from Dick Krieg Motors in Delphi . He was a member of the American Legion and used to belong to the Breakfast Club. Dick enjoyed camping, fishing, and did wood carving of tractors and steam engines. Along with his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Lisa (Roger) Wandrei of Monticello, Jill (Tommy) Herr of Chalmers; 6 sons, Rodger (Donna) Bertram of Monticello, Jack Bertram (Fianc, Sheila Cox) of Monticello, Richard (Brenda) Williams of Burlingame, CA, Mike (Dee) Williams of Monticello, Bob (Sharon) Williams of Monticello, John (Carrie) Williams of Burnettsville; brother, Dennis (Eunice) Bertram of Afton, TN; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 pm until 8 pm, Sunday, October 9 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Presbyterian Prayer Circle will be at 7 pm. Friends may also call one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am, Monday at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Thomas Albaum officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery with full military rites. Memorial contributions may be given to the Monticello First Presbyterian Church or to a charity of the donors choice.
