Phyllis J. Allen

Phyllis J. Allen, 92, of Reynolds, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at White Oak Health Campus.She was born on September 26, 1925 in Reynolds to the late Rufus and Alta Lois (Phillis) Beasey. On February 24, 1945 she married Leon Marshall Allen. He preceded her in death on August 6, 2001.She was a 1943 graduate of Reynolds High School. She worked at the grain elevator in Reynolds and was a school bus driver for Reynolds and North White Schools for 41 years. She was a member of Reynolds United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, served as choir director, participated in the women's study club, and formerly attended the Happy Family Sunday School class while raising her family.She enjoyed fishing at the Minnesota cabin and participating in her quilting group at church. Above all she cherished time spent with her family and grandchildren.Surviving are her children, Gary (Carol) Allen of Battle Ground, Ron (Sharon) Allen of Reynolds, Deb Allen of Chalmers, and Kathy (Lloyd) Ehmcke of New Haven; fifteen grandchildren; and forty-five great grandchildren.Also preceding her in death were brothers Rufus "Junior", Keith, Lionel "Muggs", and Luther Beasey; a grandson; two great grandsons; and a great granddaughter.Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of services celebrating Phyllis' life at 12:00 pm Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Reynolds United Methodist Church with Pastor Nikki Rice officiating.Burial will follow in Bedford Cemetery.Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello is entrusted with care.Memorial contributions may be given to the Reynolds United Methodist Church with envelopes available at the church.Messages of condolence may be extended at http://www.springerfuneralhome.com/
