Philip D. Phillips

Philip D. Phillips, 61, of Monticello died at 2:12pm, Monday, April 30, 2012 at I.U. Health Arnett Hospital of Lafayette. He was born October 20, 1950 in Lafayette to the late Eugene and Mary (Benham) Phillips. His marriage was to Cathy Hall on August 16, 1990 who survives in Kentland, IN. He was a graduate of East Tippecanoe High School in Lafayette. He was a member of Whiting Baptist Church in Whiting. He had worked 10 years at Fairfield Manufacturing in Lafayette. He had worked as a road musician as a drummer and later worked locally in White, Carroll, and Tippecanoe Counties as a drummer. He enjoyed music, boating, and hiking in the mountains with his 2 Great Danes. He is also survived by 2 daughters, Kristen (Patrick) Link of Seattle, Washington, Laura (Benjamin) Morehead of Lafayette; and a brother, Rick Phillips. Graveside funeral services will be at 1 pm, Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery with his father-in-law Rev. William Hall officiating.
