Patrick A. "Pat" Mazgaj, 65, of Monticello, died on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 4am at Home Hospital. He was born January 22, 1944 in Chicago, IL to Casmier and Clara (Jaronski) Mazgaj. He married Angelina "Angie" (Carbone) Mazgaj on July 4, 1964 in South Holand, IL. She survives in Monticello. He graduated from CVS High School in Chicago, IL, He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. Mr. Mazgaj worked as a computer program analyst, mortage loan broker and a handyman in Monticello. He was also the owner and operator of the Lakeside diner for 3 years. Mr. Mazgaj was the president of LSWA. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Monticello. Pat and his wife Angie were 20 year owners on Lake Shafer and 10 year residents of Monticello. He is survived by 2 Sons, Gregory (Gisele) Mazgaj of Germany, Donald Mazgaj of Hammond; Daughter, Dena (Raymond) Wajda of North Judson; Brother, Melvin (Alice) Mazgaj of Orland Park; 2 Grandsons, Raymond Wajda of North Judson, Steven Wajda of North Judson; Granddaughter, Jamie Nicole Wajda of North Judson He is preceded in death by his brother Kenneth Mazgaj. Visitation will be 2pm to 7pm, Monday, September 7, 2009 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of Lakes Catholic Church, Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 10 am with Father Gerald Borwaski officiating.
