Patricia "Pat" Horney

Patricia J. "Pat" Horney, 93, of Monticello, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at her residence.

She was born on April 10, 1931 in Royal Center to Archie and Bessie (Elkins) Doud. On May 7, 1961 she married Michael F. Horney. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2013.

She was a graduate of Monticello High School and worked as a beautician. She owned beauty shops in both Indianapolis and Monticello. 

Pat enjoyed crocheting, making afghans, crossword puzzles, cooking and watching the cooking network.

She is survived by her son, Michael Scott Horney of Monticello; and granddaughter, Sophia Joan Horney of Monticello.

In addition to her parents and husband, Michael, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Michael Horney; three sisters and one brother.
