Patricia L. Davis 72, Monticello, died at 3:03AM Monday July 26, 2010 at Centegra Hospital in Woodstock IL, after a brief illness. She was born June 30, 1938 in Patton IN to John G. and Freda E. Goslee Barlow who are both deceased. Patricia was a 1956 graduate of Monticello High School. She received an Associate Degree of Business from Ball State University in 1958. She married Donald G. Davis on January 18, 1959 in Yeoman IN, and he survives in Monticello. Patricia was reared in Yeoman IN and was a lifelong resident of rural Monticello. She was an accomplished church organist for over 54 years having served the Yeoman United Methodist Church where she was a lifelong member and the Monticello United Methodist Church. She was the bookkeeper for Dons TV, Inc. of rural Monticello for over 50 years. After raising her family she worked part-time for the Carroll County Treasurers Office. She then worked full time for the Carroll County Auditors Office for nearly 20 years, currently serving as First Deputy Auditor of Carroll County. Patricia was a loving and devoted Mother and Grandmother whose life exemplified the definition of unconditional love towards her family and friends. She had a passion for music and was an avid card player participating in numerous card clubs in the area. She enjoyed bowling and was active in several womens bowling leagues for many years. She was a member of the Indiana Association of Auditors. Also surviving, are a daughter, Deborah L. (Mark) Draper of Crystal Lake, IL; a son Robert W. (Heather) Davis of Monticello; two granddaughters Nicole E. (Kyle) Wenzel and Anna F. Davis; one grandson Miles N. Davis; and one great-grandson Henry J. Corbin; one brother, John G. (Sandra) Barlow II, of Marion IN; two nieces and one nephew. She is preceded in death by a granddaughter Heather M. Corbin. Funeral Services will be at 11:00AM Friday at the Monticello United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Beeks and Rev. L. George Hostetter officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8PM Thursday at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Monticello, and one hour prior to services Friday at the church. Burial will be in Yeoman Cemetery, Yeoman, IN.
