Patricia Mohr, 71, of Monticello, passed away at 10:00 pm, Sunday, June 23, 2019 at her residence.
She was born on September 14, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of a Pearl Harbor survivor, John E. and Jeanette (Bruder) Stalker. On October 30, 1971 she married Ronald Mohr in St. Ann Catholic Church in Indianapolis and he survives.
She was a graduate of North Central High School in Indianapolis. She was primarily a homemaker, taking time off to raise her children. She worked stints as the secretary at St. Ann School, worked for the Decatur Township Trustee Office and Small Claims Court, and at McDonalds in Monticello.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church where she taught Sunday School and a past member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Indianapolis. She was also a member of the Friends of the Union Township Public Library.
She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, making ceramics, counted cross stitch, and baking. Her favorite holidays were Christmas and the 4th of July. She decorated for all holidays including President's Day.
She collected Statues of Liberty, Beatles memorabilia, and anything red, white, and blue. Surviving are her husband, Ron; her children, Wendy (Tony) Darrow, Rebecca (Robert) Johnson of New Whiteland, Stephannie (Derrick) Scriven of Monticello, Christopher Mohr of Logansport; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her sister, Caroline Sue Turpin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church with Father David Rasner celebrating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings and contributions are preferred to Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church or to CDC Resources of Monticello with envelopes available at the church.
