Norma G. Kelley, 94, of Monticello, died at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Whispering Pines in Monticello. She was born June 8, 1918 in Idaville at the Godlove farm to the late George Burton and Edna Fern (Crain) Fowler. She married Perry Kelley, and he preceded her in death. She was a member of Idaville Church of God where she helped the ladies make noodles and pies. She was a graduate of Idaville High School and worked as a laborer in several factories. She enjoyed crocheting and crafts using yarn. She won a ribbon for her crocheting. She also made bead jewelry. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her noodles. She also enjoyed western and ho down type dancing. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn (Robert) Crist of Monticello; Patsy (Elmer) Crist of Monon; sister, Thelma Tipton of Alabaster, AL; 5 grandchildren, Frank (Tracy) Crist, Bill Sell, Dennis (Michelle) Siburcrist, Michelle ( Shannon) Applegate, Lorie (Steve) Holtmeier; and 2 step-grandchildren, Allen (Brooke) Crist, Tina Crist; 23 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter; sister, Mildred Cox; brothers, Dale and Walter Fowler; and a granddaughter. Visitation will be from 2pm until 6pm, Sunday, July 15 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home and one hour prior to 3pm services, Monday, at Idaville Church of God with Rev. Chris Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Idaville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given for Alzheimers or to the Idaville Church of God. Envelopes will be available.
