Norma June Burnett

Norma June Burnett, 90, of Monticello, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Milner Community Healthcare in Rossville,

She was born on June 21, 1934 in Pulaski County on the family farm to the late Cecil Van Meter and Maggie (Baer) Ferdinand. On October 26, 1952, she married Raymond Dale Burnett in Delphi. He survives.

She was a 1952 graduate of Monticello High School and was a homemaker. Norma enjoyed knitting, crocheting and crafting.

In addition to her husband, Dale, she is survived by her son, Ronald "Ron" D. (Virginia) Burnett of Lafayette; daughter, Debra (Leonard) Padilla of Green River, WY; grandchildren, Adrian Padilla, Madison Padilla, Holly Burnett; great-grandchildren, Aidan Burnett, Evan Padilla and Caroline Padilla.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by siblings, Lula (Bill) Garringer, Joann Sigman, Helen Hanna, Eva Law, Marion Van Meter, Gene Van Meter, Barney Van Meter, Hap Van Meter and two infant sisters.
