Noreen E. Sullivan,76, of Monon, passed away at her home. She was born October 31, 1932 in County Cork, Ireland to the late Patrick and Mary (Currn) Callihan. Her marriage was to the late Clyde E. Sullivan on May 27, 1952 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on January 15, 2008. Mrs. Sullivan had been a retail sales manager for Sears in Chicago. She stopped working while she raised her children. She went back to work after her children were raised. She had worked for CDC Resources for a number of years. She was a member of the Irish American Association, an association of Irish Catholics. She was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxillary and the Monon Eagles. She was also a member of the Illinois Autobaun Association, and the Chicago Art Institute. She was an avid gardner. She enjoyed being a homemaker. Memorials may be given to the Chicago Humane Society, 57 West Grand Ave., Chicago, IL 60610. Survivors include: 2 Sons, George D. (Susan E.) Sullivan of Chicago, IL, Clyde E. (Lisa) Sullivan, Jr. of Ravenswood , WV; Daughter, Kathleen N. (George) Caponi of Carson City , NV; Brother-in-law, Ferg Riley of Chicago, IL; 4 Grandsons, Clyde E. Sullivan, III of Frankfort, Germany, Dominick Caponi of Carson City , NV, Anthony Caponi of Carson City, NV, Michael Sullivan of Ravenswood, WV; and Granddaughter, Sara Sullivan of Ravenswood, WV She is preceded in Death by: her parents; husband; son, Patrick Sullivan, Brother, Gene Callihan; and sister, Mary Riley. Private family graveside services will be held at Lone Mountain Cemetery, Carson City, NV. Burial will take place at Lone Mountain Cemetery, Carson City, NV Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
