Nikki Bohacik

Nikki Bohacik, 60, of Monon, passed away at 2:17a.m., Sunday, August 10, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center, Lafayette. She was born on September 5, 1947 in Waco, TX to Alvin and Margaret (Summers)German Hickey. She married Wayne Bohacik on December 31, 1978 in Kalamazoo, MI. He survives in Monon, IN. She graduated from Portage High School in Portage, MI. Mrs. Bohacik worked as a medical secretary at Regancy Place in Northwest Indiana. Most recently she was employed at Wal*Mart in the shoe department. She was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds. Mrs. Bohacik was a member of the Monon Eagles and Monticello Moose. She collected minature shoes, and her collection was over 3.000. She enjoyed and loved her grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Riley Hospital. She is survived by her Mother, Margaret Hickey of Kalamazoo, MI. Daughter, Cara Bohacik Salazar of Lafayette, IN. Step Son, Todd (Cathy) Bohacik of Valparaiso, IN Brother, Donald (Rose) Hickey of Albion,, MI 3 Sisters, Phyllis (John) Kasieork of Portage, MI, Sherry (Jerry) Gilette of Lawton, MI, Judy (Tom) McKinley of Kalamazoo, MI; 4 Grandchildren, Ethan, Mateo, Sonny and Sophia She is preceded in death by her father. Visitation will be held from 3p.m. to 7p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Funeral Services will take place at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Thursday, August 14, 2008, 7p.m. with Pastor Charles Blakey of St. James Lutheran Church officiating.
