Mona Theresa Weis, 62, of Monticello, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 in Lafayette at her daughter's home.
She was born on November 26, 1961 in Joliet, Illinois to the late Merle and Marilyn (Monaham) Pogliano.
Mona was a 1978 graduate of Watseka High School. She worked for Indiana Beach Campground and Area Four. She loved crafting, cooking, gardening, riding horses, traveling and cows. Mona enjoyed campfires, puzzles, sunflowers, cardinals and most of all spending time with her kids and grandchildren.
She is survived by daughter, Katie Feldt of Lafayette; four sons, Brody (Autumn) Thomas of Burnettsville, Jake Thomas of Burnettsville, Ethan Thomas of Monticello and Rian Feldt of Monticello; a sister, Lynn (Donald) Saso of Green Praire, IL; one brother, Bruce (Madeline) Wilson of Chalmers and fifteen grandchildren, Emmet and Elliot Thomas, Rilan Thomas, Emma Gilbert, Austin Gilbert, Dakota Gilbert, Kadyn Gilbert, Elijah Bay, Xadriah Pasdach, Theo Pasdach, Kyron Feldt, Nona Feldt, Hunter Feldt, Kora Feldt and Freya Feldt.
Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by a sister, Merlajean Covey.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 1:00 pm until the time of services celebrating Mona's life at 3:00 pm at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.
Memorial contributions may be given to Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses.
