Mary Minger

Mary Minger, 93, of Monticello, passed away at 3:09 pm, Saturday, February 22, 2020 at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello.
She was born on February 24, 1926 in Chicago to the late Joseph and Clara (Canatara) Formoso. On July 6, 1946, in Chicago, she married Lloyd L. Minger . He preceded her in death on May 14, 2013.
Mary was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Amvets Ladies Auxiliary. She loved BINGO and spending time with her friends and family.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (John) Miller of Monticello; son-in-law, Lloyd Carnahan of Monticello; 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by a son, David Minger, daughter, Deborah Carnahan; siblings, Catherine Sommerfield, Thomas, "Frank", and Joseph Formoso.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm (EST) Friday, February 28, 2020 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello. Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am (EST) Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church with Fr. David Rasner as the celebrant.
Burial will follow in Remington Cemetery at 1:30pm (EST).
Memorial contributions may be offered to Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
