Mary Ferdinand, 69, of Reynolds, passed away at 12:55 pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at her home.
She was born on August 9, 1953 in Garrett, Kentucky to the late Curtis and Rachel (Davis) Hughes. She married Lee Ferdinand at the St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds. He survives.
Mary was a graduate of Rensselaer High School. Her first job was at the Coil Factory in Goodland. She also worked at Solly's in Reynolds, CVS, and Walmart where she worked in the jewelry department and as a fitting room attendant. She had served on the board of directors for REMC. She enjoyed reading in her spare time. Above all, she cherished her family, especially her grandsons and two great grandchildren.
She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds.
Along with her husband, Lee of Reynolds she is survived by her grandsons, Connor Ferdinand of Reynolds, Kevin Ferdinand of Lafayette; great-grandchildren, Ella & Everett Ferdinand; sister, Ann Oliver of Rensselaer; her 15 year old Dachshund, Gretchen; and her several special friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son; David Scott Ferdinand; and her brother, Steve Hughes.
Private family services and burial will be in St James Lutheran Cemetery in Reynolds.
