Mary Ella Ball

Mary Ella Ball, 79, of Monticello passed away at 7:15 p.m., Thursday, September 25, 2008, at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center. She was born on September 9, 1929 in St. Charles, Virginia to the late Lloyd and Nora (Poteet) Miles. Her marriage was to James Junior Ball in Pennington Gap, Virginia on August 12, 1947. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2003. Mrs. Ball had worked for RCA for 13 years. Survivors include: Son, James D Ball of Monticello; Daughter, Glenda (Ron) Eckert of Monticello; 4 Sisters, Jeanette (Earl) Gust of Logansport, Dorothy Miles of Logansport, Lorene (Jack) Ehle of St. Paul, IN, Dinah Day, FL; 2 Brothers, Bruce Miles of Logansport, Jim (Della) Miles, FL; 3 Grandchildren: and 9 Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by: Her Parents, Lloyd and Nora (Poteet)Miles; Husband, James Junior Ball; Sister, Virginia Woliver Visitation will be held from 11a.m-1p.m., Monday, September 29,2008 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home Funeral services will follow at 1p.m., Monday at the funeral home, with her son James D.
