Mario Caso

Mario Caso, 57, of Monticello died at 12:55 am, Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette. He was born May 17, 1955 Havana, Cuba to the late Lutgardo Caso, Sr. and Julia (Llerena) Caso. His mother survives and resides in Chicago. His marriage was to Valerie Ellinger on May 11, 1987 in Chicago. She survives and resides in Monticello. He attended Twin Lakes Southern Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing the drums and had played with several bands over the years. He was an excellent cook. Above all, he was a wonderful father and husband. He is also survived by a son, Nicholas Caso; 2 daughters, Julia Caso, Lesley Caso all of Monticello; and a sister, Julia M. Caso of Chicago. Visitation will be from 4 pm until the time of services at 7pm, Thursday, August 30 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home with Rev. Ross Terry officiating services.
