Mabel Musser , 88, of West Lafayette, died at 8:32 am, Thursday, December 10, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. She was born October 14, 1921 at Plymouth to the late August and Sadie (Rieken) Huge. She married Lawrence "Red" Musser on April of 1940. He preceded her in death in October of 1995. Mrs. Musser was a homemaker. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star of Earl Park, Indiana. She enjoyed embroidery, reading, and playing the organ. She also enjoyed cooking and will be remembered for her homemade egg noodles. She is survived by a Daughter, Arlene Musser of Somerville, MA; 2 Daughter-in-Laws, Joanne Musser of Monticello, Carol Musser of West Lafayette; Brother, Paul (Noreen) Huge of Monticello; 2 Grandsons, Michael and Patrick Musser; 3 Granddaughters, Debra Musser, Monica (Doug) Short, Erin (Bobby) Knelly; 6 Great-Grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by 2 sons, Ralph and Gary Musser; 2 brothers; and 4 sisters. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2009 from 10:30 am until service time12:30 pm at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home with Father Robert Klemme officiating. Burial will be in Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery , rural Monticello. Memorials may be made to the Cargiver Companion of Lafayette. You may sign the online guestbook at www.springervoorhisdraper.com
