Lynn Alan Snyder, 68, of Monticello, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Franciscan St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette.
He was born on January 12, 1953 in Lafayette to the late Russell and Mary Miller Snyder.
On June 8, 1985 at Rensselaer Christian Church, he married Tanetta "Tanny" Dawson-Snyder. She survives in Monticello.Lynn was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School and received his associate degree in music from Vincennes University. He was affiliated with Monticello Christian Church. Lynn was a sound design specialist in Lafayette and surrounding areas. He loved his work and music. He worked for many venues including concerts, businesses, churches, and the Tippecanoe Amphitheater. Lynn was a lover of music and a highly skilled trumpet player. He loved going to Las Vegas and was an avid Purdue basketball fan. He loved spending time listening to music and talking with others. While in the nursing homes, he was a positive influence on others and persevered through the pandemic with a very positive attitude. In addition to his wife, Tanny, he is also survived by two brothers, Mark and Monte Snyder of Lafayette, one sister, Gail Snyder of western USA, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Gary (Mary Beth) Snyder of Bedford, IN, Jeannie Polstra and Carol Snyder-McBride.Per his wishes, no services are planned. Lynn often said," Love people when they are alive, don't wait." Lynn also wanted to thank all those many people who had offered wonderful impacts on his life. Though he was succumbing, he was positive, kind, and thankful to all.
