Lyle A. Weaver, 73, of Monticello passed away at 5:30 p.m., Monday, February 23, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. He was born on September 24, 1935 at the family home in Monticello to the late Forest E. and Wilma R. (Biddle) Weaver. His marriage was to Janet R. Dreblow on April 19, 1964 in Monticello, and she survives. Mr. Weaver was a 1953 graduate of Idaville High School. He was a member of the Pious Chapel Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He served from 1954-1958 during Korea and was stationed in Japan. He was the Plant Manager for Brim Concrete for forty years. After his retirement, he helped a farmer during harvest. He was a 50 year member of the Redmens Lodge of Monticello. He was a Bears fan. He enjoyed making models and gardening. Other survivors include Daughter, Connie Clothier of Burnettsville; 3 Sons, Rodney (Diann) Weaver of Reynolds, Darrell (Brenda) Weaver of Monticello, Dwight Weaver of Monticello; Brother, Larry (Nancy) Weaver of Idaville; 6 Sisters, Jeanne John of Texas, Lola Snavely of Flora, Betty Smith of Monticello, Anne (Fred) Jeffers of Logansport, Marcia (Rich) Funk of Royal Center, Margaret (Max) VanMeter of Montciello; 8 Grandchildren; 2 Step Grandchildren; 3 Great-Grandchildren; and 6 Step Great-Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m., Friday, February 27 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home with the Pastor Mike Williams of the First Baptist Church of Burnettsville officiating.
