Lucy Rose Adams, 83, of Monticello, formerly of Indianapolis died at 6:30 pm, Saturday, October 1, 2011, at White Oak Health Campus of Monticello. She was born July 8, 1928 in Rochester, New York to the late Llewellyn and Lula Mae (Christie) Thomas. Her marriage was to Bruce E. Adams on November 26, 1953 at the United Methodist Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He preceded her in death September 4, 1994. Mrs. Adams was a charter member of the Parc-Way Assembly of God Church in Indianapolis, where she taught Sunday school and was the Sunday School Superintendant. She was a retired X-Ray Technician from St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, Indiana. She enjoyed knitting, gardening including flower gardening. She was devoted to her Lord and Church. She was always willing to donate her time for any worthy cause. She is survived by a son, Monte (Bev) Adams of Reynolds, Indiana; two granddaughters, Danica Adams of Marion, Indiana, and Monica Adams of Atlanta, Georgia. She was also preceded in death by three brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services will be at Noon, Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Parc-Way Assembly of God Church, 3500 East Thompson Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46268. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. In lieu of floral or financial contributions, the family suggests that the contributor go visit a shut-in of their choice.
