Louise I. Tevis

Louise Irene Tevis, 92, of Monticello, died Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 12:55pm at White County Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 27, 1917 in White County to the late John C. and Carolyn (Zarse)Schultz. Her marriage was to the late Ralph Tevis on June 8, 1958 at St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2002. She graduated from Chalmers High School Mrs. Tevis was a lifetime member of St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds. She was involved in Ladies Aid and the LWML. Mrs. Tevis sang in the church choir. She enjoyed crocheting and was a great seamstress. She enjoyed all of her visitors that came to the nursing home. She is survived by Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Fara and Ethel. Visitation will be held from10am to 11am, Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Charles Blakey officiating. Burial will take place at St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Reynolds. Memorial Donations may be made to the St. James Lutheran Church Elevator.
