Louis Quirk, 81, of Monticello, passed away at 3:40 pm, Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at White Oak Health Campus in Monticello. He was born on October 30, 1933 in Kokomo to the late Edward Eldon and Dorothea (Fred) Quirk. On July 10, 1954 he married Shirley Morrison at North Manchester and she survives. Louis was raised in Sharpsville, IN and was one of twelve children that included two sets of twins of which Louis and his sister Louise were one. Louis was an insurance agent and manager for Prudential for several years. He was also a bail bondsman in White County. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Louis served in the Army and was a member of AMVETS and the American Legion of Monticello. He is survived by five sons, Jeffery (Diane) Quirk of Beaver Creek, OH, Teddy Louis Quirk of Lafayette, Patrick Wayne Quirk of Monticello, Martin Scott Quirk of Lafayette, Matthew Parr Quirk of Brookston; daughter, Tracy Lee Miller of South Bend; two sisters, Louise (Jo Dohn) Glaze, and Martha Quirk; four brothers, Max Quirk, Martin Quirk, Patrick Quirk, and Wayne Quirk; sister-in-law, Susie Hobbs; eleven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Edward Eldon, James, John, and Mickey Quirk; and sister, Patty Benge. Services will be private.
