Lloyd 'Bud' Kelley

Lloyd M. "Bud" Kelley, 76, of Monticello died at 1:10 pm, Friday, May 14, 2010 at Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center. He was born May 29, 1933 at Lafayette to the late Mark and Ilda (Seigfried) Kelley. He married the former Norma (Dexter) Jarrard July 1, 1961 at Lafayette. She preceded him in death October 22, 2009. Kelley graduated in 1952 from Mulberry High School as the class vice president. He is a veteran of the United States Army serving during Korea. Mr. Kelley was a crane operator for ALCOA retiring after 42 years of employment. He then worked for Jordan Manufacturing for several years. He was a member of Mulberry Lodge No. 618 F&AM for over 50 years. He enjoyed mushroom hunting and fishing. He is survived by 3 sons, David Jarrard and Donald Jarrard, Jr. both of Lafayette, Mark (JoEllen) Kelley of Monticello; daughter, Brenda (Paul) Rose of Monticello; brother, Kenneth Kelley of Mulberry; sister, Lois Blackman of Council Bluff, Iowa; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by a daughter Angela Rose; and one granddaughter. Visitation will be from 5 pm until 8 pm, Tuesday, May 18 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 am, Wednesday, at the funeral home with Pastor Chris Murphy of the Idaville Church of God officiating.
