Linda Carol (Allen) Johns, 76, of Yeoman and North Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers while wintering there.
She was born on November 9, 1948 in Logansport to the late Cecil and Dortha (Roach) Allen. In November of 1990, she married Larry Johns. He survives.
She was a 1967 graduate of Twin Lakes High School and worked at RCA in Monticello, Northway Factory in Rensselaer and Bennos by the Bay in Monticello. She also spent several years as a care giver at CDC and did volunteer work at many of the local nursing homes.
She was a member of Tippecanoe Christian Church of Winamac and attended Yeoman United Methodist Church for many years.
Linda was an ABATE Motor Cycle Club member for over 20 years and enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband and friends. She loved her family and friends very much and enjoyed planning reunions for Yeoman School, Twin Lakes High School, and family get-togethers. She enjoyed her part-time home in North Fort Myers. Like her mother, she was also a contestant on the Hoosier Millionaire show.
In addition to her husband Larry, she is survived by her children, Greg (Dawn) Johnston and Monica (Johnathan) Wright both of Monticello, and Jeremy (Kate) Thompson of Lowell; brother, Richard C. Allen of Patton; eight grandchildren; Amanda, Levi, & Leah Johnston, Dylan & Kiarra Lucy, Matthew, William, & Benjamin Thompson; great-grandson, Kayne Lucy; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by sisters, Joyce Lowe and Carol Blohm; and her granddaughter, Peyton Lucy.
A memorial visitation will be April 5, 2025 from 2:00 pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm celebrating Linda's life at the Yeoman United Methodist Church.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions encouraged to the Yeoman United Methodist Church with envelopes available at the church.
