Larry W. Pampel

Dr. Larry Pampel, Monticello, passed away Saturday June 6, 2015 while fly fishing in Bolivia. He was a lover of life and passionate about his faith, his family, his friends and his community. He was an avid fly fisherman and hunter, loving the stillness and beauty of nature. He especially loved history and learning. Larry served as a dentist in the US Navy, after attending colleges at Ball State and Indiana University and UC Davis in California. He served as founder and CEO of several businesses. Locally he owned Pampel & Associates, a registered financial advisory firm where he enjoyed working alongside his son Eric. Whyte Horse Winery where he fulfilled his passions for wine making and farming with his wife Connie and his brother Don. As a general dentist in Demotte, IN, he specialized in surgery and Implant dentistry alongside his daughter Dodi and their dental team. Focusing on people, their moto; "it's not about us, it's about them." Believing they can change the world one smile at a time. His pride was watching his seven grandchildren Rachel, Austin, Noah, Siera, Morgan, Emma, and Benjamin discover and invent themselves through their individual interests. He loved watching them learn and grow through academics, music, missions and sports, he was their biggest fan. Larry loved God, life and people anywhere; he was always searching for his next adventure, the new friend he would make along that journey. He was a proud man, loving his family deeply, his wife of 49 years, Connie, his daughter Dr. Dodi (Brad) Woolley, and son Eric (Kelly) Pampel. His mother Deloris and grandparents preceded him in death. His father Carl Pampel of Remington, his brothers Dr. Terry (Nancy) Pampel, Gulf Shores Alabama, Don (Denise) Pampel of Remington, his immediate and extended families remain.
